The Northwest Seattle Coalition has requested that Sound Transit study a combination of the two. At the south end, the Brown line that has a tunnel portal on the surface in Interbay, west of Elliot Avenue, which doesn’t disrupt Elliot Avenue, our indispensable connection. The Brown line could run entirely on the surface in Interbay next to BNSF, which would save money. Then, further north, we requested the Blue line, with a Tunnel to Ballard and a station at 15th Avenue NW.
